Be an Effective Sending Church

Do you serve on the missions' team at your local church? Help the church to be an effective sending church of missionaries. These ideas and models will enable you to ensure that the missionaries you send and support are functioning in a healthy, productive and God honoring way.

Encourage

• Taking a moment to care for a missionary can have eternal dividends. There are many ways to encourage a missionary. Consider these ideas in reaching out to those who are reaching out to others. The Bible says, "those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed."

• Missionaries need your financial support to remain in their ministry locations. Without churches and individuals who partner with them financially, missionaries would not be able to fulfill the call of God on their lives. The Lord provides for his people through his people.

• A key way to partner with a missionary's ministry is through prayer. You can share the gospel through prayer. You can fed the hungry with a prayer. You can change the world through prayer.
