About 25 attendees from four Converge Southern California churches participated in the Generosity Summit October 21-22 led by Converge Generosity director Scott Ridout. Host Eagle Rock Baptist Church, Los Angeles, welcomed teams from Simi Valley Community Church, Baldwin Hills Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of La Crescenta for inspiration and strategic planning to create a culture of generosity in their congregations. Concert for peace in Guadalajara

Faith Factor, a church started by Converge workers Dan and Melinda Nelson in Guadalajara, Mexico, organized and led a five-hour concert for peace October 21. Seven other Mexican Baptist churches participated, and five well-known Mexican bands and artists performed in the city plaza of Zapopan in front of the Catholic Basilica. Pan-American athletes, trainers and coaches—in the area for the Pan American Games—gave testimonies of the peace they have found in Christ to a crowd of more than 1500.
