What is LEADNET

It is a support and growth vehicle for ministry women and is the female equivalent to the Converge Worldwide (BGC) LEAD Teams.

While the materials were written with church planting wives in mind, the LEADNET Tool Kit is relevant to us all!  The materials address topics in ministry—identity issues, finances, family issues, enduring trials, to self-care!  It is good, practical information!

New LEADNET  Teams are launched with Quick Starts – a 24 hour period where the philosophy and purpose of LN is presented.  It is a time to meet and bond with women who would be in your Team.

A number of questions are no doubt popping in your mind as you consider your involvement.  Below you will find some helpful answers about LEADNET.

How frequently will my LEADNET Team meet?
This is determined by your team.  The national advisors recommend 4-6 meetings a year and suggest at least one 24-hour format if possible.  All meetings can be scheduled to accommodate team members’ schedules.  We’re suggesting one meeting each year be an overnight meeting.  However, your LEADNET team decides the frequency and length of your meeting.

Where do LEADNET Teams meet?
We suggest a team meet in a neutral location if possible, preferably a team member’s home.  For longer meetings, particularly an overnighter, teams could gather at a hotel, B & B, cabin, cottage or, if necessary, even a team member’s home large enough to accommodate the team.

What will my responsibilities be if I participate in a LEADNET Team?
Each team has a Head Coach (for facilitator), a district representative, and a national representative who oversee the meetings.  Team members may be asked in advance of a particular meeting to lead a prayer time, share their testimony, or lead a discussion on a topic  from the LEADNET Tool Kit.

What is the cost?
The LEADNET ToolKit costs $25 – for printing and shipping expenses.  It is recommended that each member purchase one.  Some districts are willing to purchase the manuals – you may wish to check that out.   Each team member will be responsible for her  transportation and any additional meals or expenses.   The expenses of each meeting are shared between members.  Several chapters are available for download on this site – you are welcome to copy them until you Tool Kit arrives.

How do I find a LEADNET near me?
Click on the button to your left “Find a LEADNET near You”.  There you can search by city, state or CWW region for teams near you.

How can I start a LEADNET Team?
If you would like to know about starting a LEADNET Team, e-mail Peg Windmiller at peg.windmiller@convergeww.org or call Peg at 847-749-3236.  Peg would love to help you start a team in your area.

The LEADNET  experience was not developed solely to provide support and encouragement to each other.  It is intended to enable women to be the kind of people that God intends them to be and, thereby, better discover and express the purposes for which we were created.  We develop specific skills to enhance that adventure. LEADNET  groups also exist to expand the kingdom of God, which makes each of the L.E.A.D. components so important and enjoyable when a group gathers.

“I particularly enjoy the Achieve portion of our gatherings because it is so fun to see women feeling a sense of satisfaction when they have helped someone else work through a life, ministry, or marriage situation simply by asking good questions and listening well.”
Shannon Wight, MI Head Coach
