Wow!  Lots of people listen!

Jeeps, taxi's, stores, cell-phones, and of course radios are all places where “The New J, 103.3 FM” is being played.

After only 3 years on the air, over 25% of the population in the listening area have heard about the station.  And, more than half of them listen.  With a potential listening audience of about 600,000—that means we usually have between 50-80,000 regular listeners.

We surveyed more than 1,200 people in different parts of the city, various ages and economic status.  More than 30% of our listeners found the station through scanning. They like what they heard and have tuned in ever since.

The message is in the music.  Each song played speaks of God's love and how we should serve and love Him.  There are also short, pointed, scripture based challenges from The Word.  We also have solid Bible teaching as well as Unshackled.

We are happy that the Lord has put it on the hearts of those in the community to join in the ministry.  The radio station is receiving twice the local support as it did last year. However, we are now are looking at a scheduled rent increase. We ask that you pray with us that the Lord will bring in all the necessary funds.

"The New J" (DXJL-formerly jazz—now Jesus) is a David and Goliath story.  Other stations in the city are much more powerful, but we have The Powerful One!  God is doing mighty things through a small station.

Serving together with you,

John and Lori De Cleene

P.S. On a personal note, as you may remember, Lori and the boys are staying in Manila first semester near Faith Academy.  (I travel there on weekends)  Eighty percent of all homes destroyed by the flood earlier more than a month ago were in our area.  Praise the Lord our house is on a hill, so, we were not affected by the water.  Please continue to pray for those who lost loved ones and home.
