Tsunamis, tornados, floods, fires, earthquakes, droughts.  These are just some of the things that can bring death, destruction and hardship.  Many times the disaster comes quickly, seemingly without warning.  There is usually an immediate urgent need--for life's basic necessities--and then a longer term need for rebuilding . Whether these things happen near us or half a world away, BGC churches have always responded with generosity and a caring spirit.  Special offerings in churches and individual gifts provide funds that are forwarded to the affected areas through our own mission work or through other relief efforts such as those of NAE World Relief or the Baptist World Alliance BWAid. 

BGC Compassion Ministries may also mobilize teams to serve in the affected areas.
